Goriber Gaan or Songs of the Deprived was a compilation published by the Nababidhan Brahmo Samaj. Keshab Chandra Sen, educationist and social-reformer and also a prominent leader of the Brahmo Samaj, branched out from the original Samaj and founded the Nababidhan Brahmo Samaj in 1861. Sen continued his social-reforming endeavors with the Nababidhan Brahmo Samaj or the New Dispensation Church. Keshab Chandra Sen mad effective use of the press in order to enhance public through pamphlets, periodicals and songs.
